Therapy for serious illness, caregiving, and grief in New York

Whether you're living with a medical diagnosis, caring for someone you love, or grieving, the psychological weight of illness is real and often invisible to the people around you.

I work with people facing chronic illness, transplant, cancer, or recovery from a hospital stay, with those caring for a partner, parent, or other loved one, and with people who are grieving, including the grief that can begin while someone is still here.

I bring experience in transplant, intensive care, and acute rehabilitation to this work, and an understanding of what it means to be inside the medical world, not just observing it.

For caregivers

Caregivers often stop noticing their own needs. Appointments get cancelled, sleep goes, and no one asks how you're doing. Therapy can be one place where the focus is on you.

How we work together

ACT was built for situations that can't simply be fixed. We make room for fear, anger, and sadness, stay connected to what matters, and find ways to live well alongside illness or loss. Sometimes, if it helps, we write.

Getting started

Sessions are 55 minutes over secure video, for adults anywhere in New York State. I accept insurance through Headway, including Aetna, Anthem, Carelon, Cigna, and Curative, and offer self-pay sessions at $180 with a limited number of sliding-scale spots.

The first step is a free 15-minute call to talk about what's bringing you in and whether we're a good fit.
